Our new specialist timber framing machines, WBS 120 and WBZ 160, representing the greatest possible flexibility for customers, are a prime example of this modularity. The former is a very fast and very precise sawing center for high-volume timber framing for large-scale and varied timber framing tasks in small and medium-sized companies. The latter is a fully equipped beam process-ing center, combining a fast timber framing saw with a high-performance five-part spindle and a tool changer. To mark our anniversary, we are launching a special model: the WBZ 160, featuring a newly-developed measuring system, additional machining unit and—for a limited period—at a special anniversary price.
In order to successfully develop customized solutions, you first of all need to listen to the cus-tomer's wishes and you must do that not just while the machine is in development: Before our products are launched, they are tested for a full year by selected customers. The WBS 120 and the WBZ 160 have recently completed this "test period". Ten customers throughout the world had the opportunity to test the machines under normal operating conditions in order to draw our attention to problems and come up with suggestions for enhancements. Both machines are now ready to be launched.
The WMP 250, however, is still undergoing tests. Boasting two high-performance spindles for high-grade wood machining and an 18-slot tool changer, this tool was specially developed for pro-cessing flat components in solid wood construction. The same also applies for the processing of large-size beams where it would not be possible to guarantee precise handling in a conventional beam processing station on a continuing basis. For this reason, when it came to the WMP 250, we decided in favor of a mobile operation unit which moves over the stationary inserted material, thereby enabling a longer tool life with no loss of precision. This also makes it possible for the WMP 250 to process components that are more than 50 meters in length. The WMP 250 is ideal for use in solid wood construction and timber construction engineering.
Because the success experienced by our customers is the most important prerequisite for the success of our own company, in addition to the wood processing machines we also offer integrated production systems, which include products for production hall logistics (e.g. feeding, transport and destacking equipment). We can even design the production hall layout and logistics to create a customised solution if so required. If, as a result of an effective optimization of the workflow, our customers are able to secure additional market share for themselves and for timber as a construc-tion material we have achieved our role as a partner in the timber house construction industry to the best of our ability.
