Several plants live in action
With flooring plants from HOMAG continuing to break through ever new performance barriers, the 3rd Flooring Days event will be exploring and explaining current market trends. Providing a healthy mixture of theory and practice, different plant types from varying performance categories will be on show. The demonstration will include a high-performance plant used for rip and cross cutting as well as profiling of laminate panels with click profile. This will be followed by a high-precision dividing plant capable of recognizing and aligning panel surfaces with the aid of a camera system. A production sequence for in-line cutting and profiling on a standard flooring plant will also feature in the demonstration.
The spotlight will also be on theoretical aspects, with a series of lectures to accompany the machine demonstrations on subjects such as trends in the manufacture of laminate flooring, high-performance plants, dividing concepts from the standard plant to the high-end line, automatic application of footfall noise insulation, packaging and insertion of plastic springs. Following on from the lectures, experts will be available for discussion on the topics of the day. Anyone keen to find out more about the production environment will find plenty to interest them at the many information counters and exhibitor stands.
Over the past 20 years, the laminate flooring market has enjoyed above average growth rates, largely as a result of new developments and economical production methods. Although the market situation in 2009 placed the sector under pressure, thanks to its innovative achievements and efficient solutions HOMAG succeeded in gaining a significant increase in sales in 2010. The outlook for the current year continues to be very promising.
