Teleservicenet Support

For many years, the suppliers within the Homag Group, have offered our customers the remote diagnostic service, that is, fault diagnosis via a phone line through a machine specific modem. This has proved very successful. But time marches on and as a consequence of the digital revolution, so the service must also evolve.
 |
With the advent of the Ethernet port and internet availability being more widespread,
it follows that the fault diagnosis system can also be improved, to this end Homag have offered our customers, Teleservicenet remote diagnosis system via internet broadband connection.
Unlike other suppliers who offer a similar service, Homag’s vision is to provide a 100% safe and secure connection between the customer’s machine and Homag itself. It achieves this by supplying a Homag specific Router (Cisco) which is connected to the machine by Ethernet cable, the input to the router is provided by the customer network, and connection to the internet is derived from this connection.

This provides an increase in download speeds, allowing diagnosis of machine faults to be done quicker and more efficiently. It also provides the ability for machine specific software updates and file transfers to be carried out, a service that was restricted by the phone line system.
The only provisor for teleservicenet is total and complete access to the internet, so certain ports must be opened and protocols followed in the customer’s firewall, this is to allow access for Homag engineers to go online and enter the machines diagnostic software. |
| Homag UK Ltd has now installed this system and is pleased to provide Homag UK Ltd customers with a preliminary level of remote diagnosis over the internet with full support from the Homag Group of companies . Also due to many machines still being provided (old and new) with a PC Modem, the phone line remote diagnosis will also be supported at Homag UK Ltd, so all our customers can benefit from this service. |
