To ensure the best possible product quality, the new edge banding machine features an automatic tool changer for resetting between different profiles at the profile trimming unit. The aim of the new machine is to offer industrial and woodworking shop producers scope for greater production flexibility without manual resetting - a first for this market segment.

A closer look at the detail of the KAL 310 series reveals a range of beneficial features: A high-performance jointing unit with a tool diameter of 125 mm takes care of a clean cut on the top and bottom surface of the panel. Fast glue changeover from EVA to PU is also possible by simply exchanging the complete application unit without the need for tools. The heated glue application roller is capable of gluing workpiece edges between 8 and 60 mm in thickness. It also ensures a consistent glue temperature at the workpiece irrespective of the workpiece height. A modern magazine height adjustment facility guarantees central banding of edging materials with different heights onto the workpiece. The stationary snipping stop ensures careful snipping of sensitive edges, and the automatic profile change facility in the profile trimming unit ensures a top-quality appearance right into the corners.
A machine version is also available with automatic infeed fence, pressure zone, trimming unit or scraping device adjustment in line with different profiles. Horizontal outward movement of the finish processing unit or program-controlled height adjustment are also offered.
